Disabled cleaners replace union workers in Ohio

TOLEDO -- Developmentally disabled workers have replaced janitorial employees at a state-owned building in northern Ohio under a contract reorganization by the state.

The state Department of Administrative Services started the changes with One Government Center in Toledo but said it also will be arranging janitorial staffing for buildings it oversees in Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus, The Blade reported.
